Today’s automotive keys do much more than start a vehicle. They are effectively ‘microcomputers’ that are responsible for such functions as remote locking systems, remote start capability, and trunk and window operation, and they are expensive to repair and/or replace. Costs can often exceed several hundred dollars for replacement. The IDS Key Replacement program offers key replacement, with no deductible, should the consumer lose their keys, or should they become damaged and inoperable.
